Full gut, tub-to-shower — St. Petersburg
curbless walk-inporcelain tilepermit on file
Bathroom remodeling · Tampa Bay
A bathroom is where Florida humidity does its quiet damage — behind the tile, under the pan, where you can't see it until it's a problem. We waterproof it right, vent it right, and build it watertight, with the permit pulled whenever we're moving plumbing.

Straight talk
Bathrooms hide their problems behind tile and under the floor. Here's what actually goes wrong, and how we get ahead of it.
When we open a Tampa Bay bathroom, we often find soft subfloor, mildew, or a shower that was never waterproofed past the drywall. We don't tile over that — we fix what's behind the wall so the new bath actually lasts.
Most shower leaks trace back to a skipped waterproofing membrane or a bad pan. We waterproof the whole wet area and water-test it before a single tile goes up, so it doesn't end up in your bedroom ceiling.
Florida bathrooms need real ventilation and mold-resistant backer, not paper-faced board that feeds mildew. We vent the fan to the outside and build with materials made for a wet, humid room.
We give you a fixed price. If we open a wall and find old water damage, we show you the photo and the cost before we proceed — no mystery charges buried in the invoice.
We'll look at what you've got, talk layout and waterproofing, and put a fixed price in writing — free, no pressure.
What's included
A full remodel, handled by one team — the waterproofing you can't see matters as much as the tile you can.
What to expect
We measure, talk layout, accessibility, and fixtures, and figure out what fits your budget.
You pick tile, vanity, and fixtures. We lock a written, fixed price.
We pull the permit if we're moving plumbing, open it up, and fix what's behind the walls.
Membrane, water-test, tile, fixtures, and a final inspection where required.
Materials
A bathroom lives or dies on what's behind the tile. We spend the money where it keeps water out of your house.
Waterproofing: a membrane system on the walls and shower pan — your real defense against humidity, not just ‘water-resistant' board.
Backer: cement or foam board in the wet area, never paper-faced drywall that grows mildew.
Tile & grout: porcelain on floors and walls, set with the right mortar and sealed grout for a humid room.
Ventilation: a properly sized exhaust fan vented outside — the cheapest mold prevention there is. We won't tile over a substrate we don't trust.
Recent baths
Real bathrooms across the Bay. Gut jobs that move plumbing are permitted and stamped; a cosmetic refresh that keeps the layout isn't — and we say so.

Honest pricing
Bathroom pricing depends on size, how much you move, and what we find behind the walls. These are honest Bay-area ranges — your real number comes from an in-home measure.

If we move plumbing or electrical or take it down to the studs, yes — and we pull it and handle the inspections. A cosmetic refresh that keeps the same layout, like a new vanity and fixtures, usually doesn't. We'll tell you which yours is before we start.
A cosmetic refresh is often one to two weeks; a full gut with a new layout runs longer, especially if we find damage behind the walls. You get a written schedule, and we sequence the work to keep your household running.
Yes — tub-to-shower conversions and curbless, roll-in showers are some of our most-requested jobs, and they're a smart aging-in-place upgrade. We build them waterproof and to slope so they drain right.
We open it up before we quote a fixed price wherever we can. If we still find soft subfloor, mold, or a shower that was never waterproofed, we show you the photo and the cost before we touch it — no surprise line items.
Three things: a real waterproofing membrane on the walls and pan, a properly sized exhaust fan vented to the outside, and cement or foam backer board instead of paper-faced drywall in the wet area.
Yes. Relocating the toilet, vanity, or shower is part of a full remodel, and that's the work that needs a permit — which we pull and have inspected.
